Planted Passion’s Bio-Active range includes majority certified organic products/ allowed inputs. The Bio-Active Fulvic is classed as natural complexing agents (but not certified organic).
The range is comprised of plant biostimulants products, which stimulate the nutrition process (independent of the product’s nutrient content) with the aim of improving the total plant or the plant’s rhizosphere to increase efficiency, tolerate abiotic stress, or confine nutrients in soil or rhizosphere.

Vinasse extract

Bio-Active Vinasse liquid fertiliser is a biologically active, stable form of nutrition that is created from a plant-based material called vinasse extract.
It is the primary by-product generated during the distillation of organic acids from sugar cane molasses fermentation mixtures. As such, it contains every substance added to the fermenter, plus yeast metabolites and yeast cell contents. The primary organic and inorganic chemical components of vinasse are proteins, organic acids, amino acids, unfermented carbohydrates, vitamins, and minerals. High concentrations of biologically active nitrogen, potassium, sulphur, calcium, magnesium is also typically found as components of vinasse, which makes it particularly attractive as a soil amendment/fertiliser.
Bio-Active Vinasse functions by enhancing the nutrient quality of soils and therefore crop production capacity.
Benefits associated with optimum levels of vinasse is;
- Stimulating plant health and durability during crop growth cycles, which in turn leads to enhancing crop yield.
- Thanks to the amino acids and growth promoter betaine, nitrogen is organically fixed and is predominantly a stable release source of growth.
- Highly pre-digested carbohydrates activate the production of beneficial biology. With their help a higher rate of nutrition will be available to the crop.
- The organic substances consist of various rich nutrients, microbial protein, amino acid, vitamins, minerals, and sugar. These simulate microbial proliferation and the development of the root structure of crops.
- Upon application the biological active organic matter assists increasing the levels of humus. While the stimulation of the soil-food web supports the new formation of humus and improved soil structure. Together a stable fertility result and a more efficient nutrient release via fertiliser mobilisation is achieved.
- Vinasse is highly water soluble and has a positive reaction within the soil. This ensures a portion of the nitrogen and other nutrients are readily plant available upon the initial application.
- The content of long chained sugar complex vinasse increases soil micro-organisms and creates a valuable addition to soil fertility, nutrient availability, crop yield and quality.
- Vinasse extract has a positive effect on the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the compost and soil.

Amino acids are building blocks of protein and act as a primary component in the mechanism of a plant cell. Amino acids are readily absorbed and used by the plant as a source of nitrogen and carbon for plants therefore saving the energy expended by the plant. Amino acid plays very important role in enhancing plant productivity.
Bio-Active Fish Amino Acid Liquid and Powder are made from quality fish waste utilising protein hydrolysis biotechnology. This is the technical process of extracting proteins from fish tissues and breaking them into peptides before extracting amino acids out of them. To ensure high quality fertiliser is achieved the application of different enzymes, temperatures and separation methods are used during this process.
Plants need protein for healthy growth and development. Fish Amino Acid help plants regulate phototropism, photosynthesis, stimulate carbon and nitrogen metabolism, enhance nutrient availability in plant growth substrates, increase nutrient uptake and nutrient-use efficiency.

Fish Protein Liquid is part of our Bio-Active fertiliser range that offers high quality, biologically active soil-life, and plant growth promoters for various crops.
This liquid fertiliser is made using mainly sardine fish as the raw material, due to their abundant supply, high oil content and fish protein advantages. The finish product is rich in all the dissolved proteins, vitamins, and amino acids. It is a brown, semi-viscous liquid that experiences a unique enzymatic, technical, manufacturing process that protects, utilises and all parts of the fish to various fish-based products.

Fulvic Acid
Fulvic acids are a molecular tonic with dramatically small molecules that make them ideal for foliar spray applications. These smaller fulvic molecules can easily penetrate leaves and cell mitochondria to deliver minerals, nutrients to promote and enhance plant growth.
Fulvic Acid Bio-Active is an easily soluble brown powder with a high analysis of 95% Fulvic acid. This product is a plant-derived, mineral biochemical fulvic acid, which contains high biologically active groups, with a small number of endogenous hormones such as gibberellic and indolic acid.
Internationally, the application of leonardite based fulvic acid in agriculture has achieved gratifying results and has been recognized as the pillar of product options. However, the leonardite resources that are extracted are becoming limited, the product options are becoming more expensive and to maintain supply has become more difficult.
After years of research, our manufacturer utilises a “mineral biochemical method” to produce fulvic acid. The product quality is far better than that of chemically extracted fulvic acid and its biological activity is higher.
