Planted Passion’s own Base Builder range includes certified organic products or allowed inputs that have been developed and derive from different mineral based materials.

BASE BUILDER K

BASE Builder K is an organic mineral-based potassium fertiliser. Derived from plant matter that goes through a slow-ashing process to reach its raw form, before being granulated. Being in a natural, non-sulphate, mineral form allows this product to maintain a stable release of nutrients.

Being also of natural origins and rich in oils from plant matter allows this product to be very biologically friendly and ensure a softer and more efficient uptake through the soil.

Potassium is essential in nearly all processes needed to sustain plant growth and reproduction. It is important to manage a potassium program efficiently to ensure efficient uptake by plants and value and performance is received.

There are a variety of benefits associated with optimum levels of potassium;

• Increases root growth and improves resilience against biotic and abiotic stresses.
• Potassium governs stomatal opening which is important for plant health.
• Builds cellulose and reduces lodging in the plant.
• Reduces respiration, preventing energy losses.
• Activates at least 60 enzymes involved in plant growth.
• Aids in photosynthesis and food formation.
• Helps translocate sugars and starches within the plant, which is essential for sizing of fruit, grain etc.

BASE BUILDER P is an organic- mineral based phosphorus fertiliser that has been fermented naturally for many years before being converted into its raw form of guano. This natural, mineral based phosphorus has a more stable release curve than chemical phosphates.

BASE BUILDER P also contains calcium, magnesium and other nutrients that are good for plant growth, rejuvenating soil conditions and maximising your crop yields.

There are a variety of benefits associated with optimum levels of phosphorus:

Base builder N

BASE Builder N is a granule fertiliser is a biologically active, stable form of nitrogen that is created from a plant-based material called vinasse extract. Vinasse extract originates from a fermentation process of sugar beet, sugar cane etc.

Unlike synthetic nutrient options this product is not restricted by climatic situations ie excess rain or other limitations such as poor soil structure. Due to its biologically active and stable form of nutrition the availability and plant uptake is far more efficient that other options. Plant growth is stimulated by encouraging a stronger relationship between the soil and the plant.

There are a variety of benefits associated with optimum levels of nitrogen:

• Thanks to the amino acids and growth promoter betaine, nitrogen is organically fixed and is predominantly a stable release source of growth.
• Highly pre-digested carbohydrates activate the production of beneficial biology. With their help a higher rate of nitrogen will be available to the crop.
• The organic substances consist of various rich nutrients, microbial protein, amino acid, vitamins, minerals, and sugar. These simulate microbial proliferation and the development of the root structure of crops.
• Upon application the biological active organic matter assists increasing the levels of humus. While the stimulation of the soil-food web supports the new formation of humus and improved soil structure. Together a stable fertility result and a more efficient nutrient release via fertiliser mobilisation is achieved.
• Vinasse is highly water soluble and has a positive reaction within the soil. This ensures a portion of the nitrogen and other nutrients are readily plant available upon the initial application.
• The content of long chained sugar complex vinasse increases soil micro-organisms and creates a valuable addition to soil fertility, nutrient availability, crop yield and quality.
• Vinasse extract has a positive effect on the physical, chemical, and biological properties of the compost and soil.

BASE Builder N is the perfect fertiliser for any agriculture application, as it not only provides essential nutrients to soil, but also helps to develop a strong, healthy environment for plants to grow and thrive.

BASE Builder Mag will be a certified organic mineral-based magnesium fertiliser, it is currently undergoing certification. This product derives from calcined magnesium, micronised then granulated to 3-5 mm with an analysis of 39% min (65% Mgo) Magnesium.
